Ray Dogum is the Chief Editor of Drug Discovery Online, where he curates and leads editorial content focused on the earliest phases of drug development—from target identification and hit discovery to preclinical validation. With a background in chemical engineering and master's degrees in business and information systems from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, Ray brings a cross-disciplinary perspective to the future of therapeutic innovation.

Ray’s career has spanned the cutting edge of healthcare and technology. At Amwell, he implemented telehealth solutions integrating medical devices and digital platforms across major US health systems. At Vibe Bio, he launched a biotech-focused podcast and newsletter, driving engagement for the company’s AI-powered pipeline analysis platform. He’s also consulted with senior pharma executives on decentralized ledger technology and led a proof-of-concept to streamline patient-centric clinical trial pre-screening.

Earlier in his career, Ray helped launch and manage a stem cell biology lab at MIT’s Koch Institute, where he supported research into the role of diet in aging and metabolic disease. Ray is also the creator and host of Health Unchained, a podcast exploring how blockchain, AI, and frontier technologies are transforming healthcare. Through in-depth interviews with researchers, entrepreneurs, and investors, he has built a resource that bridges the gap between emerging tech and real-world healthcare applications.
