NALGENE 250ml PET Square Media Bottles - New Convenient Size for Shipping and Storing Liquid Media, Buffers and Sera

ROCHESTER, NY, March 2004 – Packaging and transporting liquids is easier with the new NALGENE 250ml PET Square Media Bottle, designed for storage and shipping of liquid media, buffers and sera. The 250ml volume square media bottle is exclusively offered by NALGENE, and is an addition to their popular line of PET Square Media Bottles.

Made of virgin polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin material, NALGENE PET Square Media Bottles are a cost-effective alternative to glass media bottles. The bottles have excellent gas barrier properties, and are lightweight, leakproof and shatter-resistant, making them ideal for air shipment. The square design also minimizes required storage space, while the molded-in graduations also allow for easy sample assessment.

Each PET Square Media Bottle is gamma irradiated to provide a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10-6 to eliminate the cleaning preparation steps required for similar glass products. Both the bottle and HDPE closure material meet current biological testing standards, including USP Class VI, USP <661>, European Pharmacopoeia for Abnormal Toxicity, Cytotoxicity, Hemolysis and are Non-pyrogenic. NALGENE offers the PET Square Media Bottle in four sizes, 125ml, 250ml, 650ml and 1L. They are available with closures packaged separately to accommodate automated liquid fill lines.
