Invetech Co-Develops CellKey For MDS Sciex

Boston, MA - Invetech, specialist in instrument development and custom automation which exhibits at Drug Discovery Technology & Development 2006 on booth #738, announces development of the unique CellKey technology. Successfully launched to market in September 2005, CellKey, a high information secondary screening instrument employing Cellular Dielectric Spectroscopy (CDS), was completed within 21 months. Invetech was commissioned by MDS Sciex, to collaborate on development of the new CellKey technology.

The CellKey platform is a fully automated system for secondary screening laboratories and target validation. A unique technology for analysis, CellKey enables label-free and universal measurements of endogenous and transfected receptors, irrespective of their coupling mechanism. Kinetic measurements are taken in real-time with all wells of the microplate being read in parallel.

The collaboration allowed MDS Sciex to maximise its R&D by utilizing the capabilities of Invetech as its development partner.

Invetech, which exhibits at Discovery Technology & Development 2006, is participating in a seminar about this project at 9am, Wednesday 9 August. More information on the seminar is available at www.drugdisc.com. In addition, an indepth flyer on the collaboration is available free of charge on booth #738.
