This company's 1100 Series diode array and multiwavelength detector are two highly sensitive instruments for UV-Visible detection in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Both detectors use a new temperature system that, according to the manufacturer, provides researchers in pharmaceutical and chemical QA/QC laboratories more consistent results, as well as better baseline stability for lower limits of detection even in highly variable operating environments.

The multiwavelength detector is well suited for quantifying compounds of interest and simultaneously monitoring impurities at different wavelengths. As detection requirements increase, the multiwavelength detector can be upgraded to a diode array detector with full spectral capabilities.

The diode array detector comes with full spectral capabilities and provides separation quality through spectral library searches and peak purity algorithms, even for trace level compounds. Full spectral resolution of less than 1 nm is available for the entire wavelength range. In addition, software for automatic spectra acquisition and processing delivers report formats for routine work.

Features of the instruments also include:

  • Simultaneous measurement of up to five signals
  • Wavelengths form the low UV to the visible range
  • A suite of flow cells suitable for standard, microbore, and capillary HPLC
