Workbench

The Assay TekBench is a part of a family of workbenches designed to perform microplate assays, replication, reformatting, sealing/unsealing and long-term storage under a low temperature, inert gas atmosphere. The system contains the capabilities of an integrated system in a 3-ft x 5-ft footprint. The workbench utilizes multiple pipettors both 96 and 384 fixed and disposable versions to do high-density plate preparation. It is said to work with any combination or variety of microplates, deepwells or pipette tips. The pipettor system provides both tip changing and washing capability. This product has on board storage for 252 plates, but when coupled to the company's modules, the capacity increases by 1000 for each PlateStore. An unoccupied deck provides space for 3rd party devices such as readers, washers, and liquid dispensers. The barcode reader confirms plate tracking, and the exchange track provides bi-directional conveyor transport to other modules for increased capacity and throughput.
