Perkinelmer Life Sciences Introduces Glutathione Flashplate Plus

Boston, MA -- The new Glutathione FlashPlate PLUS has been added to PerkinElmer Life Sciences' basic line of white 96- and 384-well microplates for drug discovery research. It is a convenient, easy-to-use, HTS-friendly platform for the capture of Glutathione-S-Transferase (GST) or GST-tagged molecules. Glutathione FlashPlate PLUS is suitable for a variety of assays, including enzyme (e.g., kinase, protease, etc.), protein-protein interactions, and more.

According to Stefan Jarnstrom, PerkinElmer Life Sciences VP for HTS, "FlashPlates are an ideal platform for formatting enzyme assays. Now users capable of tagging their proteins with GST can run simple assays with excellent precision on the Glutathione FlashPlate PLUS. This new product complements the PerkinElmer Life Sciences' NEN line of coated FlashPlates, including the Nickel Chelate FlashPlate PLUS platform for capturing 6-histidine tagged proteins."

To eliminate the time and expense of handling liquid scintillant, the well interiors of Basic FlashPlates are permanently coated with a thin layer of scintillant. In addition, Glutathione FlashPlate PLUS has a subsequent glutathione coating.
