NCI-Frederick is located within the Ft. Detrick U.S. Army base in Frederick, Maryland, and is the Department of Health and Human Service's only government-owned, contractor-operated facility. More than 100 principal investigators located here direct research aimed at exploring the causes of cancer, AIDS, and related diseases.
