The cryogenic probes belong to a family of high-resolution probes with application in NMR technology. These probes feature improved signal/noise (S/N) ratios obtained by reducing the operating temperature of the coil and the pre-amplifier. Thereby, the efficiency of the coil is improved and the noise temperature of the coil and the pre-amplifier are reduced. The increase in the S/N ratio by a factor of 4, may lead to a possible reduction in experiment time of 16 or a reduction in required sample concentration by a factor of 4.
Characteristics for NMR work:
- Significant S/N gains (with moderately salty samples also)
- rf homogeneity
- Short pulse widths
- Short ring down times
- Linear behavior in power response
- Water suppression capability
- Gradient capability
- Stability for 2D experiments
Cryoprobes are available as Dual, or Triple Resonance cryoplatform. All probes have a 2H lock circuit. Z-Gradients are available.
