ACT / Albuquerque Clinical Trials is an independent clinical research organization. ACT works in conjunction with Rio Grande Family Medicine, which is a private patient care facility. Our site has been conducting phase II – IV pharmaceutical studies since 1989. Our primary goal is to facilitate high quality medical research for the benefit of our community. We strive to exceed enrollment requirements, adhere strictly to protocol guidelines and provide accurate data in a timely and efficient manner. We emphasize the use of good clinical practice to meet the needs of each sponsor.

Our facility is situated between two major interstate highways, only five minutes from Albuquerque International Airport. We are located just minutes from downtown where there are several major hotels available for visiting monitors. We offer extensive services and equipment that are necessary to efficiently conduct clinical trials, including:

  • Outpatient clinic with over 10,000 patients from which to draw study volunteers.
  • Large research patient database
  • Ability to use either a Central IRB or Local IRB
