Vectech Pharmaceutical Consultants Wins Plasma Derivatives Validation Contract

Vectech Pharmaceutical Consultants, Inc.ny%>, a Pharmaceutical Validation and Engineering consulting firm, announced today that they have been awarded the validation contract for the Bayer Biologics S.r.l. plasma derivatives project being constructed in Rosia, Italy.

Vectech is providing project validation management, commissioning oversight, factory and site acceptance testing, and protocol development and execution.

Validation planning is already underway. The validation schedule calls for completion of the project in 2003.

Vectech has put together a team of U.S. and Italian validation specialists to provide the necessary services for the project. In announcing the project Allan Pfitzenmaier, president of Vectech, noted that "the project team has worked together on other projects in Italy, including Bayer, and has had great success in achieving goals and solving the problems encountered during validation". Vectech is providing continuous senior consultant management for the project with individuals with up to 25 years of validation experience.
