Kinetics showcasing FTS LyoStar freeze-dryer at AAPS

The LyoStar is the most recent addition to the FTS Systems line of freeze-dryers. "One of the unique features of this research anddevelopment tray-dryer," says marketing manager Ellen Cesarski, "is the manner in which it was designed. The engineers at Kinetics Thermal Systems polled members of the pharmaceutical industry to find out what they wanted most. Then they built it."

The result is a dramatically redesigned tray-drying system, which includes a software package, PLC controller, increased product capacity and a most rugged, reliable refrigeration system. Kinetics is marketing this product on the basis of its ease of use and reliability.

Applications
The LyoStar has been used to freeze-dry protein formulations, lipid-based products, and vaccines, as well as a myriad of other pharmaceutical formulations. It may also provide customers who are exploring alternative drug delivery methods with the correct physical attributes for effective delivery.
