Developed with Aprecia’s proprietary 3DP manufacturing process, ZipDose® Technology helps patients who need medicines that are easy to take and caregivers—including physicians and nurse practitioners—who want medicines that are easy to administer. By enabling delivery of high-dose medications in a rapidly disintegrating form, ZipDose overcomes patient adherence and difficulty swallowing challenges.
ENABLING NEW CAPABILITIES IN PATIENT-CENTRIC THERAPY
Using an aqueous fluid to bind together multiple layers of powder, our unique, patent-protected 3DP technology platform can be used to solve some of your toughest therapeutic challenges across multiple therapeutic areas.
HIGHER DOSE LOADS
Support dose loading up to 1,000 mg
Rapidly disintegrates on contact with liquid by breaking the bonds created during the 3DP process
Allows the application of enhanced taste-masking techniques
Because of its unique digitally coded layering and zero-compression processes, ZipDose Technology can hold a high dosage load and still maintain rapid disintegration with just sip of water. ZipDose Technology can offer patients with swallowing difficulty or high pill burden an easier way to take medicine.
Extend product lines and market share with broader patient reach and/or continued brand exclusivity via 505(B)(2) submissions of patent-protected ZipDose formulations.
With multiple patient, manufacturing, regulatory and business benefits, ZipDose opens new opportunities in multiple therapeutic areas, bringing significant advantages to your pipeline.
Patients and caregivers can experience a rapidly disintegrating, taste-masked, and convenient way to take or administer medicine, while providers can prescribe high-dose formulations for patients with swallowing issues or burdensome dosing regimens.
