Multi Pi Multi-Channel Microtensiometer

Source: Kidron
This MultiPi multi-channel microtensiometer is now available for HTS, allowing for very fast screening of surface tension and related physicochemical parameters for compound libraries.
Kidronity, oil/ water partitioning and surface activity correlate with the passive tissue distribution of compounds in vivo. Accordingly, passive blood brain barrier permeation for a given compound can be predicted on the basis of a set of parameters, i.e. its surface activity, critical micellar concentration (CMC), and cross sectional area. Until now, the use of these well-established principles has, however, not been practical in ADME because of the lack of suitable instrumentation.

This MultiPi multi-channel microtensiometer is now available for HTS, allowing for very fast screening of surface tension and related physicochemical parameters for compound libraries. Importantly, these parameters further correlate with the pharmacokinetic parameters of compound, e.g. blood-brain barrier permeability and urinary excretion, allowing for early ADME with minimal material consumption.
