About Us
HTG has a proprietary multiplexed assay platform technology for genomics and proteomics research. The technology is high throughput, sensitive and reproducible. Multi-Array Plate Screening (MAPS) provides an assay to measure DNA, expressed RNA, and SNP's from samples of as few as 1,000 cells in a microplate format. MAPS measures 16 or more genes per well for target validation, drug discovery screening and profiling, metabolism and safety assessment, SAR, SNP scoring, and diagnostic analysis. Multiplexed Molecular Profiling (MMP) is a companion technology that also provides multiplexed proteomic assays. High Density Miniaturized Screening (HDMS) is a technology for testing compounds in 1536 well plates. HDMS can perform most conventional assays, extending the capability of the assay service business beyond the novel MAPS and MMP assays
HTG has validated a novel proprietary technology for combinatorial chemistry which the company will license to third parties and use itself to build a library of compounds for use in its assay services business. Direct Sort Combinatorial Synthesis (DSCS) technology is proprietary to HTG. DSCS utilizes the efficient paradigm of split and mix, one-support-one-compound synthesis. DSCS avoids the need for tags or decoding and is unique in producing large libraries on a scale of 4 to 8 mg/compound. DSCS technology and hardware have been developed and validated, and are available for licensing.
High Throughput Genomics, Inc. was established as a wholly owned subsidiary of Systems Integration Drug Discovery Company, Inc. (SIDDCO) in October 1997. The investment SIDDCO made in MAPS provides HTG with validated assay kits to sell and a MAPS assay service business with current contracts to test client samples, satisfying an unmet need within the industry in the gene to drug discovery and development process. On January 12, 2001, HTG was spun off to the shareholders of SIDDCO. HTG remains privately held.
