This Smart Apertured Grazing Angle Accessory (SAGA) features a fixed, 80-degree angle of incidence and a permanently-mounted Germanium polarizer.
This Smart Apertured Grazing Angle Accessory (SAGA) features a fixed, 80-degree angle of incidence and a permanently-mounted Germanium polarizer. Using a Germanium polarizer eliminates "S" polarized light. In addition, Germanium is not susceptible to damage like Zinc Selenide. The SAGA also features a four position aperture slide assembly to mask samples. Circular aperture sizes are 5 and 8mm. A 16mm oval size and an open position are available. Optics in the SAGA are gold coated and non-reflecting. The SAGA is useful for thin coatings and lubricants.
