The company's Scientific Components add value by integrating Spotfire.net with other scientific data sources -- creating a broad range of domain solutions. The scientific components enable users to integrate multiple data sources at the desktop. The Scientific Components include Spotfire Structure Visualizer for ISIS, Spotfire Structure Visualizer for RS3 and Spotfire Array Explorer.

The Spotfire Structure Visualizer (SSV) for ISIS is a scientific component that connects Spotfire.net to the wealth of chemical structure information and functionality associated with MDL Information Systems' ISIS databases. By allowing ISIS databases to be dynamically queried from within Spotfire.net, SSV correlates chemical structures with other compound properties as part of an integrated, interactive analysis. Using built-in ISIS technology, it delivers structure-related features such as on-the-fly structure editing and custom substructure searches as well as interfaces to other applications, such as ISIS/Draw. This integration enables users to perform sophisticated SAR analyses in a single, unified context.

The Spotfire Structure Visualizer for RS3 (SSV for RS3) is a scientific component that enables Spotfire.net users to access, explore and analyze chemical structure data from Oxford Molecular's RS3 Discovery product in context with physical property, biological assay and toxicology data. With SSV for RS3, scientists are able to retrieve and visualize chemical structures stored in Oxford Molecular's RS3 databases and integrate this information with experimental data stored in Oracle, Microsoft Excel and other standard data sources.

The Spotfire Array Explorer 3.0 is used to accelerate the analysis of gene expression data. This latest version of is fully integrated with the Spotfire.net Web-enabled workspace to give researchers access to internal and external data, powerful analysis tools and a way to conduct collaborative research. It enables an organizations' IT and informatics personnel to deliver new capabilities to researchers quickly over the Web, thus allowing for faster, more timely, informed decision making.
