Personal Synthesizer

The APOS 1200 PS is a modular and transportable reaction unit for Automated Parallel Organic Synthesis. It available as a standalone unit with 12 parallel reactors or integrated in a solvent delivery system, controlled by novel software, as a fully automated reaction system. As the system is designed as a modular system, any number of reaction units can be used. One reaction unit contains 12 spatially separated reaction vessels. N x 12 reaction vessels can be used as synthesis format. Each reaction unit is controlled individually with respect to time and temperature. All reaction vessels are equipped with glass filters and reflux condensers. The reactants are added by a dilutor (APOS 1200) or manually by pipettes or syringes (APOS 1200 PS) and mixed by gas bubbling. The concept of an open system allows also reactions to be run with expanding or decreasing reaction volumes as well as the use of gaseous reactants.
