Ty-Pak heat exchange media offer good heat transfer efficiency with minimal pressure drop, according to the company. The media are designed for regenerative thermal and catalytic oxidizing units for VOC destruction. They are available in several ceramic formulations, including highly acid- and alkali-resistant Alkaware.
The high crush-strength of the media permits deeper beds, and its shape reduces settling. The media are available in 3/4 inch, 1 inch and 1-1/2 inch sizes and a range of ceramic materials to withstand the high-temperature, corrosive atmospheres, including chloro- and flouro-hydrocarbon systems up to 2800° F.
