The E1000 is an automated microscope that offers an automated operating system that takes advantage of motorized functions to allow optimum viewing with one-touch simplicity. There is no longer any control box or separate computer to worry about. The microscope provides ideal viewing conditions in an instant via auto link focusing (ALF) and auto Koehler illumination.

The product automatically sets to ideal viewing conditions every time objectives are changed. When the nosepiece switch is used to change to another objective lens, up to seven micromotors are activated to set the optimum aperture and field stop, brightness, condenser lens, macroslider, and other items automatically. Ideal viewing conditions under Koehler illumination are quickly obtained, always taking maximum advantage. In addition, the ALF system performs automatic correction of focal points. All these interconnected switching operations rapidly take place without the user having to adjusting anything.

The microscope is programmable and accepts commands from its interface. Since the microscope is designed to be controlled by a computer, it is easy to extend its range of possible applications with digital imaging systems and software.
